Honestly I think they just shut it down off here in hopes that we would buy the paper. They don't realize we are all over the country.

Hmm...that's a considerable chunk of change. That might be a determining factor unless that kind of funding could be generated elsewhere. It is a shame but the reality is that it takes money to run a city government. How many signatures are there on the petititon thus far?

Are any of the game slated to be on the radio/internet? It would be nice to hear a game or two down here in Florida.

My brother tells me that there is a considerable reduction of traffic on that portion of 220.

I am only addressing the sub topic of the original topic which is an attack on the value of sporting to our kids. I don't think money has anything to do with a football game being played. It is a nice fringe benefit for having a good team but the lessons that our players, cheerleaders, band members ...
