Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
To my2cents in my opinion I have done my homework. I have looked into the sites that were listed. at any given point they all seem to be linked to the save the wild life and forest groups. these groups are a bunch of hippocrits. save the trees, but thay go out and buy the same things they are tellin...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
All that I have read so far on this post is how bad that these windmills are. :mob: I for one have my doubts about them like everone else, but I feel that they will be a good thing. yes the borough will make money on them which means that council will have a reason not to raise taxes again. some bir...

Having a Tyrone Alumni Reunion sounds good to me. Why don't the class officers get together and send out serveys to everyone and see what others think or want? It would give all the kids something to do and get involved with your friends' kids. Why not try a day at a park and then each class could p...

Right on Beck. That is so true. Even the football players can't argue that. I've noticed on Saturday games if the band is at a competition, the crowds are flat without them and the team gets flat sometimes as well. Anyway, I hope everyone will keep up the fight for our awesome musicians in th...

A child with special needs weather it be learning support or gifted may not be so easy to home school. Exspecially if the parents both work. It's hard enough trying to get an Autistic child to sit for 10 minutes to do home work at home then alone try and make his home into a school as well. :banghea...

I heard that the music department is safe from any cuts for this year. :bluebounce: Any word on the teachers for sixth grade? :banghead: Are they still not replacing the two that are retiring? :x It stinks if they don't at least hire one new teacher. :guns: They can afford it and it would deeply ben...

Hi, it's smokejumpers wife with a few comments. There isn't an elementary band any more since our kids had to move to that rediculous $10 million dollar building that was not needed. :? The fourth grade students learn to read some music and play a recorder now. The 5th grade has it's own band as doe...

TWO 6TH GRADE TEACHERS RETIRING WITHOUT BEING REPLACED!?!?
I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE 2 TEACHERS RETIRING FROM THE 6TH GRADE AT THE END OF THIS SCHOOL YEAR AND THERE ARE NO INTENSIONS OF HIRING TWO NEW ONES. :x THIS WILL MAKE THE CLASS SIZES @ 28-30 STUDENTS PER CLASS!! CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES HAVE HAD ENOUGH PROBLEMS ADJUSTING TO BEING IN ...

THE WINDMILLS MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST THING NOW. I JUST READ IN THE ALTOONA MIRROR THAT PENELECT PLANS TO BUY THE GAMASA PROJECT ON ICE MOUTAIN. IF SOME OF YOU ARE UNAWARE IN 2008 THE P.U.C. WILL BE LIFTING ITS CONTROL OVER THEM. THAT MEANS THAT THE ELECTRIC CAN INCREASE ITS RATES TO ANYTHING ...
