Re: Raisin-filled Cookie Recipe?
Can we get a report back on the cookies? I am hungry but don't want the calories so I will rely on your reporting for my experience.

Re: Tyrone Borough Web Site
I think a photo contest where a photo of Tyrone each month would be featured and then keep them archived for folks to look through over time. Minutes of the meetings of town council would be good if not already published somewhere. Significant dates of Tyrone History/Weather/Tragedies etc A list of ...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
Has anyone thought of organizing informational field trips to the closest site to Tyrone. Or....how about someone posting where the closest one is with directions so we can go out and take a lot ourselves.

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
Everyone should watch that website and look at those pictures. If we allow this to happen in our area then we are selling ourselves to people who are raping our one asset that we can never recover....natural beauty.

Re: parking meters
How about a sticker that one could buy for the inside of their windshield. It would cost $20.00 a year and could let you in a spot for a maximum of 20 minutes....what you could call a 20/20 tag. I got that from spending .25 a day for 296 stops per year..something like that might work.

Re: disgruntled tax payer
Hey Teacher, You did a good thing there for kids and democracy. This too can be used as a lesson in how public decisions are percieved by the general publc and how they shape policy. Too, this shows the strength of our democracy as you initiated a global discussion on a project which seemingly appea...

Re: disgruntled tax payer
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for kids to experience democracy. Your comments are a part of democracy too and I see your point but also see the value of this field trip. I agree take kids to whatever of these kind events in which they can participate as learners of democracy. Congratulat...

Re: Skateboard and Bike park
It occurs to me that unless we get some kids involved in this idea it is not going to go anywhere. You as an adult are trying to build something kids aren't even supporting. Every skater should have shown up and their parents to this event. Why as an adult would I put my money toward something for k...

Re: Sewage Treatment Plant mandate
If there is NO evidence of contamination by these systems to the Little Juniata then I am okay with the push by some agencies to hold the Tyrone Water Treatment plant responsible for the ills of the river. However, if even one of these systems in Ironsville or south of there is leaking into the rive...

So you are saying that the sewage runs into the river untreated?

Re: Sewage Treatment Plant mandate
You mean all the folks in Spruce Creek etc have a treatment facility? I hope that is true...that would be good for the river.

Re: Sewage Treatment Plant mandate
This may sound like a stupid question but where does the sewage of the folks in the Little Juniata River Association end up? Do they have untreated septics or are they connected to a sewage system that meets these high standards? Just wondering? I mean after all we all have sewage to rid ourselves o...

Re: YMCA - use of building
The point is that something needs to be in Tyrone where the kids can walk to it....not out in Tipton. I know they should walk out there too but that isn't going to happen anytime soon. Throwing good money at bad money is only good for one thing: Trying to keep something historical in the present. Th...

Re: What has the board come to?
It is nice that Harlow signed the petition but it certainly doesn't say much for the credibility of the rest of the petition signatures. Obviously the council is not going to be concerned about what a former resident feels. Yes, it is notable that someone from out of town would take the time to expr...
