Re: Tyrone Milling

I just got back from Mill Hill Farm Supply in Williamsburg . Their prices are a lot cheaper than Tyrone Millings. Tyrone Milling wants $14 for a 100lb's of shelled corn - Mill Hill is only charging 11.25/100lb. If you're buying in bulk its well worth the drive down there. I bought 1 ton and saved $5...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Did anyone else hear that the Tyrone Community Players are planning a spring production called:
"Willie Waffles and the Windmill Factory." ?

I wonder who they'll cast as the Oompa-Loompas? Borough Council?

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

The local media are guilty of a great injustice to Tyrone Mayor Jim Kilmartin. They reported that he voted "no" only because he wanted more money from Gamesa. Here's a note that I received this morning: "I should have stated this at the meeting as I did to the newspaper. 95% of wind ...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

How long are Council terms? If Borough Council waits 2 years before signing a lease with a Windmill Company then some of the seats may be up for re-election. I think that'd be a prime opportunity for some "Save Ice Mountain" candidates to throw their hat in the ring. I nominate Dave Bonta...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

So, if Ice Mountain were an extrenely high wind area, would it be acceptable or is the wind speed insignificant because of the Golden Eagles? I do not think that it is just a coincidence. Somerset High School, on the Allegheny Front to the south of us, also chose the golden eagle as their mascot. W...
