From a reliable source, Fink wins by 112 on Rep side for the ballot spot. Heard he's doing real well with write ins on the Dem. side too. The mayor race could be decided before November.

Re: Election Day 5/19/09
I just voted. The ladies down there said things are slow....bad news for those crying for change. Get off your duffs, and vote! And don't forget, if you are one of the folks that says they want change, don't vote for 4 just because you can, you only vote for who you want. BTW, Republicans have to wr...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
I see that parts of Grazierville has to boil water til further notice. They get their water from Altoona, who goes nearly dry annually and supplements their supply with Tipton now, who coincidently has had their resivoir level about 10 ft below the spillway during parts of last summer.....My point, ...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
It may not be done in Tyrone yet. I believe I heard them say at a previous meeting, that the lease agreed on by the boro, needs to be approved by the Water authority, since they lease the watershed.Find out who's on the water authority and start putting bugs in their ears.

Re: Please Pray
For those that haven't already heard; Calebs' therapy was due to be up but they are keeping him a while longer because of his progress. Tommy Getz was just down to visit Thursday, he told me that Caleb is moving his legs,(real good movement in one) and all his toes. They even have him on a treadmill...

Re: Please Pray
Today is Calebs' B-day; I hear he moved a foot today, and is moving his fingers.(not sure if he's grasping anything yet with the hands) Great sign! Keep up the prayers. He still has a couple weeks of therapy in Philly yet so anything can happen. :thumb:

Re: Please Pray
Some good news--- This morning, Calebs' fever broke, they have the ventilator and halo off, and had him sitting up. I hear he has better movement in his arms as well, still just the sense of touch in his legs, so keep praying! Anything is possible with the Lord!

Please Pray
Pray for jr high wrestler Caleb Snyder. From what I understand, he suffered a broken neck at a tourney at Bellefonte Saturday; he was lifeflighted to Geisinger and has had several surgeries. He has some feeling in extremities, but only some movement in hands....that's as of yesterday morning, haven'...

Re: Steelers AND Eagles in the superbowl???
I'm rooting for the Cardinals. That would make all 3 finalists for the Steelers job when Cowher quit ---superbowl coaches(Whisenhunt,Grimm, and Tomlin)...As a Steeler fan I'm forever grateful for having a family like the Rooneys' running my team as opposed to an Al Davis or Jerry Jones. They know foo...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
It was a 2 year lease for testing that the boro got a few thousand for a temporary tower to monitor the wind; but GAMESA kept the sole right to develope for 5 years if the boro consented, which they didn't yet.
