Re: Ice Mt gypsy moths
I asked the question regarding the inert, secret ingredients in dipel bt knowing that he would be meeting with the contractor. What is the difficulty in asking? He shouldn't be too busy to ask a question about an issue that affects so many.

Re: parking meters
I once read about a good samaritan feeding the meters ( I think it was in Washington, DC), he was fined because he was infringing upon the cities ability to make a buck on fines. I think that is ludacris. Still not sure why there is short term, free parking at the post office. Anyone? Maybe they pay ...

Re: parking meters
What about putting a quarter in the machine and forgetting about it? Good idea to raise the meters to 15 minutes so maybe you get lucky and pull in behind someone and get some free minutes. How much is a parking ticket? Try not paying the meters in any city and see what happens. Wait til Tyrone sta...

Re: parking meters
What about imposing a half hour or 1 hour time limit on a parking space (using signs instead of meters)? Then if the law is broken, tow the vehicle. Seems you could make a much better profit that way. What is the fine for exceeding your time limit with a meter? Residents could park legally overnight...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
Yes, all of this comes down to Snyder Township regardless of anything that has been presented here. I spoke with a friend in Snyder and she says most are not interested in the windfarms. I guess it's a wait and see.

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
Do you think it is fair that a community has to hire someone to come in and measure the noise level of a turbine because the windfarm company doesn't care. It could end up costing you more in the long run.

Because the miniscule amount of energy being produced will not benefit you, it will benefit someone buying it in say, New Jersey.

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
It's sounds the same to those who oppose windfarms coming from the other side. I'm opposed. Whatever happens, happens. I just think that when I hear what is going on in other communities with the wind turbine noise issues and the failure of anyone taking responsibility should be a red flag. That's a...
