Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
This article was in the Altoona Mirror this morning. I wonder if a similar situation could happen with our residents? From what I am hearing, Tyrone is planning on voting in January on this issue. HOLLIDAYSBURG - A local doctor and his wife have filed a lawsuit against the operator of a nearby wind ...

Re: Tear It Down
I'd like to see the sign in front of 1109 Lincoln Ave , which is setting on the sidewalk, torn down as well as the pile of lumber with it's sign, removed. I do not understand the continued problem he is having with the borough. He did not pay a penny of a fine, permit, or inspection cost. I'd hate t...

Re: Kaup Family Needs Help
The ramp did not meet the ADA requirements. It needed to be able to be used by Kathy but also anyone else who would visit her in a wheelchair. The ramp was too steep for someone to independently use. In less than a month, home nursing will be Kathy's only assistance through the day because her prese...

Re: Tear It Down
I would like to see some of the landlords required to paint or side some of the rentals in Tyrone. There are two that I pass almost daily.

I did not know if there was an interest in this information, but I thought you might like an update on the Kaup's. Yesterday, Kathy had her third surgery on her right ankle. The doctor stated that he tried to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. She has no cartilage so a fusion surgery will be nee...

Re: Kaup Family Needs Help
My husband, George's brother, called the code enforcer. As it was explained to him, the ramp is not safe. It is not long enough to meet the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. (The ramp needs to rise no more that 1" per foot. Currently it is too steep.) The ramp needs to be safe for not on...

His email address is bigbuzz1109@yahoo.com Today the code enforcer came to the house and informed George that the ramp did not meet code. It is such a discouraging situation! Their s...

My petition and Mr. Roseberry's are part of salaman's petition drive. I agree 100%...people are upset and ready to talk. I'm also encouraging everyone to be at the Jan. 7th meeting. Keep up the good work!
