Re: Joke Of The Moment...
This one's for all you hunters....... Bubba was attending his hunting club's monthly meeting and had just told them he couldn't make the hunting trip scheduled for the next day because his wife wouldn't let him go. After listening to the jeers and other derisive remarks from his fellow biker buddies...

Re: Mountain Goat...I think
Hey, if we've got elk in North Carolina (Smokies) then I guess it's possible to have mountain goats in W VA. Our elk are part of a relocation program though, trying to bring them back like they were in the old days before they were hunted out. Calves have doubled and are thriving since the first cou...

Re: Local Pics
Banksy, I want to thank you for taking that picture of East End Pizza. Looking on down Columbia Ave., just past those trees, is where my grandparent's house was. I have it set as my new desktop pic. Even my kids, who are now 41 and 39, remember their many walks down to Mike's, East End and Mac's. Ju...

Something-to-say, here it is almost 5 months since your post, and I must say you are so right! I opened a brand name can of tuna yesterday to make some tunafish with and the smell almost knocked me over! I went ahead and made the tunafish and ate a sandwich but it tasted like sh.........um, crap! I ...

Re: Remember When?
Hi all, I haven't been on here for awhile.... :slap: (that's me, slapping me) I just want to say how much I've enjoyed reading this thread and seeing the pics. I knew almost all of the places mentioned (yep, I'm older than dirt). I spent many, many happy days in Tyrone, even if I lived elsewhere, gr...

Love your family, cherish every, single moment of being together, and hope that the rest of the year will...

Re: Tyrone Milling
I remember many years ago, while visiting my grandparents on Columbia Ave., my son won a cute, little, black and white rabbit at the carnival a few blocks over. The first thing we did was name him, "Tyrone" (what else?) and next we had to find him a traveling cage for his ride back to our ...

Re: Hoagies and Hub Pizza
The closest I could find was a blend of soybean (mostly) and olive oil so I got the smallest bottle of it in case it's way off on taste. You're right it was hard to find, but one of our grocery stores carried it.
