Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Here's an email I received from a Tyrone citizen in regards to the "POLL" that was conducted. We got a "stub" with a number on it. After voting we took the stub outside to a guy sitting at a cardtable. He put a yellow highlight marking across my stub, gave me the stub back and th...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

I worked the polls for 8 hours yesterday, along with other Council Members and volunteers. Hey Bill.... It's been brought to my attention that some citizens in Tyrone have an issue with that, and I also have an issue with that, and so should the council and the all the other citizens of Tyrone. You...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Well 55% of the registered Tyrone residents have spoken, Lets get this going. No... there's no definitive proof of 55% of anything. Besides, this is a non-binding piece of public relations material. Nothing more. And the PRO-side has done a great job at making sure the local media (TV, radio, and p...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Bill, My grandparents told me that the question posed wasn't even on a ballot on the voting machine... it was a poll conducted separately by kids at a table that was marking "Yes" or "No" with a pencil when voters were leaving the election place. Then they would mark off your vot...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

How about posting some questions that we could copy and paste onto an email, send them to Gamesa, and wait for a response?

Thanks.

Re: Fuel/Gas Prices... Let the Protests Begin!

I just heard today on CNBC Squawk Box that American refineries are now selling the gas they make to other countries since the demand in the US has fallen due to the increase in prices. How about that one!?!? So, for example, we are buying our oil from Nigeria and Mexico, shipping it to the US where ...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

And the upping the ante' continues... and that includes going from just straight bribery to fear mongering now "in this slowing economy". But, as PT Barnum supposedly said ... "there's a sucker born every minute". How many "suckers" live in the Boro of Tyrone and/or are...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Unfortunately, most people don't care about environmental issues or sustainability until it affects them personally, and by then its too late. EXACTLY! Talk about "short-sightedness" ... and that issue has a lot to do with the current problems we face both nationally and economically now ...

This is a truck driver's forum, they seemingly are serious about the upcoming strike! I guess there was one today in DC. Haven't viewed any reports about one yet, but did hear on the radio they were clogging things up.

Re: Fuel/Gas Prices... Let the Protests Begin!

Do you know why we haven't built more refineries? Ask the democrats. Check the laws against more refineries in the US. I support the truckers as well, but I am not so sure a strike gets them what they need. Refusing to ship good for say one month would 100% push us without doubt into a depression i...
