Re: YMCA - use of building

I think "fixing up" and/or "repairing" it would be too costly. It is a very old building in deplorable shape. I think it should be torn down completely and a new building built for our Community Players and other Arts and Entertainment... musicals, stage shows, outside invitatio...

Skateboard and Bike park meeting

The next skate/bike park meeting will be held at the Joshua House on Wednesday January 30th 2008 at 6:30pm. We have had "some" donations come in and we had a turkey and ham raffle before thanksgiving. I hope that we have more adults and youth in town show up to these meetings. We still nee...

Twas the night before Jesus returned

The Bible was left On the shelf without care, For no one thought Jesus would come there... The children were dressing To crawl into bed, Not once ever kneeling Or bowi...

Re: Do You Agree with the new TAHS Coaching Proposal?

Blinking Baby Jesus

BLINKING BABY JESUS My wonderful, talented, creative, and obviously handsome, husband, a few years ago made a wooden silhouette to be used as an outside decoration at Christmas for our manger scene. We purchased the large plastic lighted Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus. We completed the scene with real...

Ode To Dead Mice

Another Christmas Story From a Friend. Ode To Dead Mice ‘Tis the season of Christmas And smells waft through our house Is that cinnamon and evergreen? No, it is dead mouse! They had pooped on our counters, Raided our drawers, Disguised as stuffed animals, They resisted our lures. From cheddar to jif...

Re: Support New Business

There are two WiFi places in town. Both within a block of each other. One being Joybeans coffee shop which has been closed due to the owner being very sick. The other that I know of is the Joshua House youth center. That is not really for people to just show up and use. I have stopped in the parking...

Re: Christmas/ Hannukah/ holidays

I saw a large group of people Wednesday night in a medium sized white bus out singing Christmas carols and it looked like they were giving food to the family they were singing to. That is the type of things that happen in a small town like Tyrone.... People caring for people!
