Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

That won't happen. Council went back to 2 meetings a month. A public work session, then a business meeting(voting meeting) I look for a vote at the second meeting in February.

Re: Peachey for Supt??

Hate to change the subject, but Clinton at least getting the dem nomination would be better than a guy who took his oath of office for congress by swearing in using a Koren instead of the Bible and not reciting the pledge of allegiance. I for one don't want to see a national "Jihaad " holi...

Re: Peachey for Supt??

Better yet, she needs 60 college credits to be elligible. Who's gonna do her job the next three years? Also the school (taxpayers)would be paying for either 12 credits or 12 per/yr(don't remember, the article said) during this time. She's the finance person right? In the last 14 years that school ha...

Re: Do You Agree with the new TAHS Coaching Proposal?

Banksy and Beck are both right. The thing that nobody else is mentioning is that our kids weren't going to school that week due to the threat of violence, their schedules were rearranged, and the game place and time was moved. Like it had no effect at all.... What bothers me the most about the chang...

Re: Do You Agree with the new TAHS Coaching Proposal?

 That's one of the best satires I've read ; and the fact that the voting is 6-5-1 proves why the mere thought of the topic has about as much chance of ever happening anywhere as pigs sprouting wings. That was great! lol.

Re: Why did you lock the wind mill vote???

What wasn't civil about my comment? I just have a different opinion on where bats and well anywildlife stand in the pecking order of life as compared to people. I know all living things have an importance in this world, but when they put human needs and safety in the back seat it really bothers me. ...

Re: Why did you lock the wind mill vote???

First off, Texas, California, and the parts of Europe that have these windmills are all mostly flat plains and farmland. I have yet to see a windmill pop up in the swiss alps, or near a German castle or anything with much natural beauty at all. Next, I detest the bat and bird arguement; I would love...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

I have these 3 zits on my hind end, some say their configuration could be considered of "unique and of exceptional popping value" but some may say it's just gross.

Re: What is the Tyrone Post Office Phone Number?

1-800- clu-less.......Since a change has been made down there, my mail delivery time has went from between 10AM-noon to 5 or6PM. The answer to your problem is, they probably cut your neighborhood down to a weekly delivery. Be patient, you'll get mail by the new year(probably)

Tyrone Basketball

Coach George Gripp has the boys looking pretty impressive in the early goings of the season. Not a huge b-ball fan, but I go to a few of each of the sporting events I can. I'll be going to more of the boys games; they look like they could make it back to St Francis if they stay healthy and on the sa...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Remember folks, while we just had 4 councilmembers elected this year; 3 more and a mayor will be up in 2. Go to the meetings! They represent you and your thoughts, not what they think is best for you. Make your voice be heard at the meeting in January. Rendell and Gamesa must be worried, they sent i...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

That wasn't my point! GAMESA satisfied the one guys up there monetarily. If they find a "fix" for the noise complaints up there, the way I read it, you are ok with voting yes. Am I right or wrong?

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Anybody read the Hereald today? A certain councilman is doing an impression of a windmill.------"Wish----wash----wish---wash".. A few pages ago on this thread, and I will quote, " It will take a miracle for me not to vote "no" now". Pretty plain English to me. Todays' p...
