I'm going through Ebay.com right now. I do this once in a while to see if anything pops up about Tyrone. Here is a Villa change holder that is up for bid: http://cgi.ebay.com/SMALL-CHANGE-HOLDER-VILLA-RESTAURANT-TYRONE-PA_W0QQitemZ160072771252QQihZ006QQcategoryZ850QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewIt...

This is a great idea, I have known June for some time now and I think that would be a great thing to bestow upon him. Just his attitude alone warrants the name change. I will find out right now. :D Ok I now have it on the council agenda. I think this will be a great plan. Thank you all for your inpu...

Believe me all, Taking the YMCA and tearing it down would be no problem if there were money to do so. The YMCA will cost in excess of $150K to tear down. I certainly would not want my taxes to go up to tear down someone else's problem. Now with that said, there is the issue of public safety. We coul...

The eyesore buildings, claim eminent domain. Give them a deadline to fix them or the Borough will take them over. That is what was done with the building that became the park. John - That would be nice in a lot of cases I am sure. But what is the Boro supposed to do with these buildings once we tak...

Re: Thanks

I normally stay out of most of the discussions as a display of my commitment to keeping an open forum that can stand on it's own without too much moderation. (That, and I tend to stay fairly busy cleaning up other parts of the website). That being said, I just wanted to politely step into the room ...

My responses will be in bold:::: I waited a day to respond, but respond I must. I agree that the bickering at meetings looks unprofessional, but aren't council meetings for the debate in public? That is why we have transparent governments. You may have argued with the former Mayor off-line, but the...

That is the reason I joined this board with my real name. I want to hear people...I want the people to hear me also. It is certainly a thankless job for sure but I was born and raised in Tyrone and I will do what I can as long as I can to help it out. But it takes a lot more than just a Boro Council...

Just an idea.

This of course is not a new subject. But to say Tyrone does not provide anything for the children to do would be a bit harsh. Some have actually said that to my face. Now there are some parents that even blame The Borough for the children getting into trouble, because there are not enough activities...

Here is the response I gave in your other post. Just thought I would re post it here also. Now for the YMCA...That is a building that No One wants and I mean No One. So what is the Borough supposed to do? Not even the Borough, whom everyone seems to think has deep pockets can not afford to touch tha...

Bill, The point I was making was that maybe council ought to look around and research other ways of doing things prior to pull the trigger on raising taxes. One other thing. Why does the boro need a new Dodge Durango and a new Dodge Charger for police vehicles? Wouldn't a new Chevy Malibu (such as ...

I partially agree. By the way, Bill, when you said about plenty of arguments with the former Mayor, I never saw it. I was present for votes and I never saw you vote different than the former Mayor. Harlow, One thing I have tried not to do in a public forum is make Council look as it did back in the...

You got to be kidding Harlow. I have been in many an argument with the past Mayor that I believe I can say with all certainty that there are no strings on me.

banksy wrote:Has anyone actually seen the strings attached to his arms at the council meetings, or do they do a good job of hiding them?
If anything could be taken from the last meeting at all Banksy, It would be there are no strings attached to this Mayor. That is all I will say about that. :?

Thank you JayeStewart - I try not to get into any heated issues on here, because the press loves it, But this one stood out to far for me to just let slide by. Have a Happy New Year :D
