Re: Tyrone Borough Web Site
Info for Burgmeier's (or whoever the trash vendor is/becomes). Calendar for recycling. The Fall & Spring clean out dates. Bill pay for water bills (or a link to such online service with a history of usage/billing like my other utility companies provide). Active links for businesses listed (maybe...

Re: Tyrone High School Musical
I, too, enjoyed the show. The lead roles were ably filled...they had the voices for the range of the music. The staging was well done...none of the young actors were left standing awkwardly while singing. The best acting, in my opinion, was the girl playing Anita. She really put some oomph into the ...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
Certainly the survey taken at polling places on 4/22/08 is not a definitive representation of the citizenry. Though Primary Day was for both parties I am certain it brought more Democrats out since they had the presidential vote to draw in voters. That being said, the numbers reported total 1094...2...

Re: Ride to State College
Well, I solved my one day problem that Friday but this raised the whole carpooling Q&A. I'm going to start a new thread to share what I know and give a forum for others to fill in the blanks.

Ride to State College
I am in a bit of a bind. My car is out of commission and I need a ride to State College on Friday 4/4. There are a lot of people that make the trip I'm sure but I struck out with the people I know directly. If you can help (I am completely amenable to your schedule) please contact me at gannongal@li...

Re: Peachey for Supt??
No waiver...no need. If this individual has worked in education and in the district for 14 years, she must know the requirements needed for superintendents. If this is indeed this person's desired career aspiration why has she not taken the necessary steps to have all pre-requisites in place? This i...

Re: Support New Business
Mr. K...in my opinion a barber shop would probably be supported. The old-timers (Doodle, Sessaman, etc) are all gone. There is a new shop in the Kopp Drug building at 14th & Logan and the one on PA Ave across from Rite-Aid. All the hair dressers in town are busy (you've GOT to have an appointmen...

Re: I-99 Opening Up
I am saving 10-12 minutes and it is better after 8 AM at the single lane from Skytop through Matternville. I am very curious if those living along Rt 220 are seeing the benefit. Can you now get out of California Hollow? Can you cross over traffic? Is there a lessening since people are chosing I-99 i...

Re: Lockdown at Highschool
Well, I actually do know some information and I don't have kids in school. My quest this morning was to see if there was any media coverage...none in print or TV. What I heard from my "sources" is this. There was a threat of violence received by a female student via cel phone telling her n...
