Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
Has anyone inspected the bedrock to be sure there is not a problem similar to I99?

Re: windmill vote
Reasons for not approving: 1. Loss of environmental integrity of site. 2. Loss of natural beauty of the mountain. 3. Too many unknowns. 4. Loss of serenity to surrounding residents. 5. Unknown impact on birds and other wildlife. 6. What happens if they expose acid rock during the construction....REM...

Re: New Hotel coming in Spring of 2009...
It is a shame we did not get one here in Tyrone before they opened I99. Penn State weekenders would have spent a lot of money in Tyrone.

Re: Christmas Gifts
The greatest gift I received this day was baby Jesus who brings us all the gift of eternal life. My earthly gifts to celebrate this wondrous day were a Magellan 3250 GPS, A carved Penn State Clock and a few other items that are very useful including some more wind up flashlights! Hope everyone has a...

Re: Support New Business
Actually I think it would be a good idea to have a thread about what New Businesses the residents of Tyrone would support. Who knows perhaps if we develop a wish list then folks will come to serve those needs. This phenomena called visualization might actually work in Tyrone. As far as a walk in bar...

Re: Lockdown at Highschool
The unfortunate thing in this is the fact that this has probably been perpetuated by a handful of kids whose goal is to drop out of school and disrupt life as we know it. They ARE the local terrorists and should be dealt with accordingly. The local authorities should use every effort to apprehend th...

Re: Political discussion - Iraq
I am simply saying that the Bible indicates that what we are seeing will just be the beginning of the end time. There are places in the Bible we are told to pray for the Lord to come quickly. Yes I can endure too but all the folks who don't get the chance to endure is what breaks my heart. I am not ...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain
Sandstone, I have quite a few bats in my attic. I started killing them this past year as the smell they put in my attic is pretty bad. I have tried to plug up the holes but they just keep coming in. After I killed the first one, I looked at it and felt really bad and said this is not the answer. My ...

Re: Political discussion - Iraq
Well continue to kill and have your wars. Your total lack of respect for humanity will be revealed on Judgement Day. Lord, come quickly. Coming from such a humanitarian, that's an intriguing invocation. ...if you can't beatem, smitem. Shows your lack of Biblical knowledge. I am not asking for them ...

That is certainly not offensive...it is the truth. I just wish our leaders would learn!

Re: Political discussion - Iraq
I agree with those who say we are there we have to deal with the problem. The problem is that we cannot afford this war either in financial terms or political terms. If you think about the statement "What would have Jesus done?" in terms of Iraq I think we would all have to agree that our ...
