Re: Make Tyrone a better town...

Very well expessed, Leep! Certainly, I think we still want to believe our hearts are in the right place, but a lot of times, just the business and "life" crowds out our desires. Thanks for your thoughts! :h

no more time

Wilting within these walls,
facing my fears...
no body, thankfully, I suppose,
yet,

I must hold your hand,
hug you,
explain, no more time.

Watching the video of this life,
too important me,
time, has worked against me,
one last time.

My heart melts...

decisions wither away.

Re: Acting Out (1982)

Moses,

I really like this...personally, it reminds me of something. There are never easy answers, are there? But there are often people willing to tell us what they think we should do...it's harder when it's you. Hope you work through it all. I've been there too...

Re: History Making Inaugaration

I'd have to agree, there Emmy. It does seem that somehow when the government makes decisions, someone rather important is being left out in the process, hmm...us, maybe? Okay, I know this is supposed to be a democracy, but even if it's a republic, it does seem to be moving in the area of socialism. ...

Re: History Making Inaugaration

Okay...sorry that I'm commenting again on this so soon, but I did want to qualify something. I am upset about hearing that Barack Obama has increased and approved funding for abortion overseas, and is not willing to think through the repurcussions of that decision. Do an entire group of citizens act...

Re: History Making Inaugaration

Excellent points, everyone! I believe he has the makings of a good leader as well, although I think the view of the realist is more my line: No one is perfect, but if we all are willing to work at it, we can fix what's broken, and move on, and stop covering up the problems with politics, and passing...

Re: YOUR Username?

Well, this is rather embarassing to say, but I thought when I picked my name that I wouldn't be doing much posting on this forum, but as I'm now looking at some 100+ posts, you can see how well that worked out. I could change my name to "poster" or "talker" but somehow, that seem...

Okay, so now that I've started, does anyone else have nothing to say, or you're still thinking?

Re: History Making Inaugaration

Alright, well since no one seems to want to go first, or isn't sure what to say, I'll start! I have to say, first of all, that the last eight years have had incredible things happen in this country happen that no one expected, or has known quite how to fix. I want everything to be resolved in the co...

History Making Inaugaration

I just wanted to ask for thoughts about today's historic inaugaration. I enjoyed listening to the speech that Barack Obama made and do think we need changes in our country. How do you think this day might change our country? Any thoughts, comments?

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Thanks for explaining that Ice Man! So, just to play the devil's advocate here, how exactly is it possible for them to contest Snyder Township's authority in this case? It seems that this is worthy of our attention if it's a possible way of not having windmills placed in a naturally protected area, ...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Sorry to repeat myself, yet again, but I still don't understand why if Ice Mountain is in Snyder Township, and Snyder Township has banned windmills, then why is it Tyrone Council has authority? The irony of the whole thing to me is that they keep saying, "Only people within Tyrone have a say!&q...

Re: HOAGIE WARS

Two hoagies, stood side by side, waiting by a road. Which one should I choose? Would taste force me to decide? On one hand, the classic way, wrapped in delicious onions or peppers... Who could really say? Yet, on the other, a newer version, younger, larger, perhaps... and tasting just as delicious, ...
