Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
Silent- If you think your bills will decrease, you are sadly mistaken. They will actually increase.

Re: What would you say to someone considering moving to Tyrone?
I would say that Tyrone is a nice quaint town, family oriented. Unfortunately, main street leaves a lot to be desired. I also think the schools could be doing better in preparing our students for college, trade school and life in general. I have family in other parts of PA and some in the southern s...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
I was told that as a registered Independent I was ineligible to vote. Not one word was mentioned about it being possible for me to vote on the wind farm issue. How can you say that anyone could vote, democrat, republican or independent. Did you not read the second paragraph of your own post? From R...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
I still cannot understand why the windfarm question cannot be put on the November election ballot. That would be a more realistic representation of the voting public. If you are not a registered Dem you could not vote yesterday. Why not represent all of the Tyrone voters. For this council to state t...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
Faulty blades, taping issues, rotor noise..........things that were supposed to be addressed months ago and Gamesa and Babcock & Brown can't decide who should fix these problems....Passing the buck.........as far as I'm concerned these are maintainance issues.......I suggest you may want to do s...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
The last time I checked you didn't have to have a piece of paper hanging on your wall to acquire common sense. If this council thinks it is wise to deal with a company that has shown that it has no regard for the maintainence of it's product then I think perhaps a common sense degree should be a req...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines
I do not understand why an issue this important was not on the ballot. Why should we entrust someone to sit at a table and check yes or no. This is not a third grade love letter, this is an issue that has generated more interest than anything I can remember in recent years. Bill Latchford should kno...

Re: disgruntled tax payer
I hope you are all available when the school board decides to cut a program that it is unable to fund. Perhaps the band or the football program. We need the chatter and this will be a good thread to fall back on.

Re: Fuel/Gas Prices... Let the Protests Begin!
Yes, it's completely absurd what we are doing as a country. With recent attacks in Nigeria the fuel prices are increasing once again. We are so busy saving the world that we can't even save ourselves and what so many fought and died for. I actually had to make sure that the flag I was buying was mad...

Re: Fuel/Gas Prices... Let the Protests Begin!
Congratulations on your joint decision for your wife to be a stay at home Mommy. No matter how much money she would be bringing home, it always seems to go to childcare. I know 20 years ago we paid $150 a week for about two years and decided that It was more important to have me stay at home. Mind y...

Update on so-called trucker strike in NC: Results.....absolutely nothing. Trucks on the roads, all over the state. Seems most of them wouldn't participate in their own strike! Results.......fuel surcharges on everything that you consume.........Results.........Pain in the pocketbook.........They we...

Re: Fuel/Gas Prices... Let the Protests Begin!
The last major strike was in '92. We need another major strike and a good, hard, slap in the face reality check
