Re: Sandy Ridge Wind Farm Progress

I heard that Turbine parts may be coming through starting today. Has anyone seen anything yet? I would imagine that it will cause some congestion through town. Was hoping to get some pictures of the equipment passing through.

Re: Sandy Ridge Wind Farm Progress

The first couple of pictures are the new opening off of 453 on top of the mountain. This is what used to be known as the AT&T Lines for those who would go up and frequent the area for 4 wheeling fun. The next couple pictures are of the new roadway as it progresses across the mountain. Things loo...

Sandy Ridge Wind Farm Progress

I thought I would go up and take a few pictures of the changes going on right outside of town as the Sandy Ridge Wind Farm starts to take form. Here is the site I will be storing the pictures on: http://sites.google.com/site/utinker/sandyridge It looks like things are progressing as far as roads go....

Re: Tyrone Police Department and Greg Ray Termination

In responce to "Something to say": You were way off....I was stating that, I believe most people would not want the reasons for their being let go made public and then I provided an example. Citizens are allotted certain information under the law but when it comes to personnel issues that ...

Re: Tyrone Police Department and Greg Ray Termination

NOTE: I know none of the facts in this case. That said, is Pennsylvania an at-will employer state? I live in Ohio and I know that we are, which in affect means that you can terminate employment without cause so long as it wasn't for sex, race, etc. This also means that the employee can also termina...

Re: Tyrone PD - Police Department

Is your council and borough managment trying to "break" your union? Just from my point of view...I know getting rid of the Union is not on my list of things to do. Our Unions are not too bad in the Borough...We struggle a bit during negotiations, due to faults on both of our sides, but I ...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

I don't think anyone said "council meeting." Maybe, the council is to meet .... or, however it was worded!! Another "play" with the words Bill !! Meeting, schmeeting... we know, it's a get together and wind mills will be, at least, part of the discussion... if not all .....call ...

Re: Windmills on Ice Mountain - Gamesa Wind Turbines

Borough building at 4 oclock on Wednesday. Thats all I know. Just to clarify, that you will be showing up to a Tyrone Borough Authority meeting. This is not a Tyrone Borough Council meeting. The Authority is who the Borough is leasing the property to right now so they to have to give an OK to the s...

Re: Tyrone PD - Police Department

Look no one is running and hiding and there is no reason to say that I am doing that. I only feel bad that there is nothing I can say. No answers I can offer. You know that I am, by law, not allowed to talk about personnel issues. Greg's termination is a personnel issue. Until all the issues come ou...
