Re: Growing up in the 70's and 80's

What do you miss the most???? Today (Labor Day) reminded me of something else - the Tyrone Community Picnic. The sound of horseshoes. Seeing folks I hadn't seen...since last year's Community Picnic. Relatives. Friends. Neighbors. Former classmates. People I knew to see, but couldn’t put a name to. ...

Anyone on this board who knows me can confirm the following:

Re: Hoagie Wars or other news?

... I have had both, and I can honestly say that in my opinion, while Mac's is a excellent substitute, East Ends hoagies are the better of the two and I would always go to East End over Mac's any day of the week. To be perfectly honest, I'd rather have * : - A Marios pizza. - A bucket of chicken, o...

I won't make a prediction about the score - but I DO predict the Bellwood cheerleaders will once again wander onto the field during play while grazing on the grass... :wall:

Re: Hoagie Wars or other news?

Tough luck Beach Biker... not only is Monday Labor Day, but both places are always closed on Monday. Actually, I did figure that (especially based on remarks I posted here in the past about East End being closed on Monday when I went there last October). But thanks for the set-up - my intention aft...

Re: Hoagie Wars or other news?

My wife and son just left about 1/2 hour ago on the long drive to Tyrone; they plan to return back to South Carolina Monday evening. If they have time, and if both places are open on Monday, I requested they bring both a Mac's and an East End hoagie back with them. That way, I should know one way or...

If you're referring to things about Tyrone, that's EASY!

It's a tie between "doing the hardman" - and all the "close personal contact" we engaged in...

Re: Name that film

New quotes - both from the same film:

"Welcome to Wendy's. How may I help you?"

"Good evening, Wendy!"

"Now I know why they call L.A. 'The city on wheels'."

"Why's that?"

"Well they don't even get out of their car to mug 'ya!"

Re: Name that film

Next quote, "Moral is... Don't be a d*ck, d*ck." That would be from "XXX" - and I believe the fragment of "Don't be a d*ck, d*ck" was also used in another movie or memorable TV show episode. Another new one - what movie and CHARACTER/ACTOR spoke these lines in separate...
