Re: Tyrone Crimewave Solved
"something to say".. I hurt with you and for you about your children... I understand the fear and the reality that comes along with that fear. I also sat with my son and rubbed his legs when they cramped up during withdrawal. It isn't at all fun watching your child go thru this. My son ran...

Re: Tyrone Crimewave Solved
I also have a child who is a recovering addict, believe me I know the sorry and pain that comes along with the addiction. It's because of our knowledge of drugs and what they do to a family and to friendships that our family has tried to talk to the young adult boy that got into trouble. We've talke...

Re: Tyrone Crimewave Solved
All very well said. What we have to understand is these kids are adults, young adults but still adults. They quit school and want to be "big boys" so when they get caught treat them like the big boys. I would never be rude to someone who did nothing to me, but when they put my neighborhood...

Re: Tyrone Crimewave Solved
I believe in never giving up finding the good in people. My family has tried to talk to one of the Young adult theives on a few occassions. We've used the nice approach and my older son has used the "let me tell you what happened to me" approach, neither with any success. We've talked to t...

Re: Tyrone Crimewave Solved
Being the child is 4 years old and not 5 and required to be in public school, it is the teachers problem... The school has the right to dismiss the child from the class if the behavior isn't corrected and then its "the parents problem" once again... I know my grand daughter goes to pre-sch...

Re: Tyrone Crimewave Solved
Young Adults doing anything that involves physical labor definitely is punishment... I've never seen some of these kids lift more than a cigarette or a beer! It is sad watching them go on this downhill spiral.. I heard that the house robbery on Friday involved two of the same kids? Keep your doors a...

Re: Tyrone Crimewave Solved
Only two of these "theives" were juveniles, so what do we do with the "adults"? I think jail would scare me enough to make me clean up my act, but maybe they weren't in there long enough. These kids are all still running together. I see them everyday.. being loud and obnoxious. T...

Re: Tyrone Crimewave Solved
I have known one of these young men since he was very young.. He has a very high IQ and would have graduated in the top of his class had he ever finished school. His home life has been dysfunctional, but anymore dysfunctional is the norm... He had many chances to go many places but chose not to... I...

I'm sure for ever horror story about the Tyrone Hospital there is a Praise for Tyrone Hospital. My family was visiting my in-laws in Shoemakersville a few years back when my two sons had a riding lawn mower accident. My one son's head was totally split open and we needed to get him to a hospital. We...

If teachers in the Tyrone School district start out at $31,000 that isn't enough... My youngest just graduated from TAHS so I don't really find myself to concerned about the teachers strike but I can tell you one thing I hope colleges never go on strike with the money you put into sending kids there...
