I often look back on those years as the best ones I had back there. Take ...

Re: Lincoln School

Joyce Nowlin... I knew Dave Nowlin from Warriors Mark and we rode the same bus for awhile.. I seem to remember Joyce too but am not sure how or where she fit into the family.. I used to see Dave's' Dad in the VFW a lot many years ago when I went in to see my Dad and his friends after I joined.. I al...

Re: Tyrone Community Labor Day Picnic

I live in Montana now but I too would like to express my condolences for your sobering experience. It used to be small towns were better than this.. I always believed and still do that whatever people do is usually an expression of how they were raised and by the people they associated with outside ...

A Death In The House

I came across this story I had written some time ago. As many might remember our homestead down in Birmingham burned to the ground a few tears ago. But, when my Mom was deathly ill and I lived in Wyoming< I received a call from my brother at the club I was playing at in Thermopolis, Wyoming...It was...

Re: "Nature Trail"

I do agree that it is a good thing and was just having a bit of fun walking down memory lane.. I do remember fondly our teacher at Penn State (Dubois) making an unplanned stop at a great nature trail somewhere on the way to a Famous Fort and Pheasant farm/ranch. He couldn't resist the lure of a trai...

Re: "Nature Trail"

Ah, please don't anyone get the wrong idea. I'm not dissing the nature trail..(dissing, just read that in a Jeffrey Deaver book)..But unless my memory is getting flighty or I've just spent too much time in the west, 3/4 of a mile nature trail loop seems a bit short... Growing up and hunting in that ...

Re: Kaup Family Needs Help

Who decides what needs to be done and by who and how..What qualifications must they have for them to make such determinations? I have seen pictures of the ramp and read how it was constructed....Now I'm not the best carpenter in the world, but from the looks of it and the info on how it was construc...

Re: BTW

We've had more snow this spring and colder temps than I have seen in 20 years here. Old timer my daughter knows says it is the worst spring he's seen in over 60 years...... :( One good thing though, we have more snowpack than anyone can remember in recent memory.. Hopefully this will last a little a...

Re: disgruntled tax payer

I agree that it isn't that big a deal..Didn't mean for it to get so serious.. I think you have a valid point and, of course, I believe that I have one also. I don't think the two are mutually exclusive. So, I guess we can let the matter drop and still have a decent , respectful discussion/discussion...

Re: disgruntled tax payer

I take slight issue with the absurd statement.. To make the contention that it isn't about what they are saying is a bit disingenuous..I would assume that they are all capable of hearing words. So , If that is the case and they are within earshot, I believe you can safely assume that there is every ...

Re: disgruntled tax payer

Ah, I'm probably making a mountain out of a molehill.... ...if I remember correctly, politics wasn't very high on my list of interesting things to do. From what I have seen lately, due mainly to the internet, young people are showing much more interest now than ever before, so in retrospect I have t...

Re: Memories of yesteryear

Dang, Banksy, that was only about 60 miles or so south of Butte.. What took you to that little town, if I may ask? Oh, my Dad threw him out because he was caught molesting little boys....And we had four of them in our home.... There probably wasn't a fairer more decent man anywhere than my Dad..when...
