Re: Fuel/Gas Prices... Let the Protests Begin!
I have to support the truckers on this one. It costs the american trucker approximately .65/mile to operate their rig. Diesel fuel has surpassed $4.00/ gallon. Remember that diesel used to be cheaper per gallon than gasoline, now worldwide demand for diesel is higher. We are competeing against othe...

Re: Fuel/Gas Prices... Let the Protests Begin!
Last week on our local news here in NC, they reported that the truckers across the nation are considering going on strike in protest of the high fuel cost. I see this doing nothing at all to help but making an already suffering nation suffer even more...

Re: Shoo-fly Pie
I had found a website that advertised they could get some A&P products. So I emailed them and asked if they shipped because the way it was written, you had to live nearby their business for a "pick-up" only. They emailed me back that "Yes, we do ship to FL" and "What typ...

Re: Shoo-fly Pie
My late Mom used to love Shoo-fly Pie and would usually buy hers at our local Amish food store. I never would eat it, but lately I am trying all kinds of new foods out. Must be that I realize that life is too short and I'm afraid I'm missing something....
Thanks for the update.

For the same reason 90% of the professional TAHS staff have their jobs....their parent(s) worked/works there, there boyfriend/girlfriend works/worked there; it's all about who you know. Doesn't matter if you are qualified, as long as you have some relative relationship to some one that worked there...

Re: Peachey for Supt??
Peachey? Unusual name. Any connection to the Amish Peachey's that bought my cousins' farm out in Sinking Valley? Just curious...... Please don't flame me with "what's her favorite color?" or "how many loaves of bread can she make in a day?"..... ...I'm serious (kinda) here...

I got a new cookie cookbook (no Spanish Bar Cake recipes in that one...boo hoo), 2 other books, a homemade yarn wreath my 10 yr. old granddaughter made(love it, love it, love it), a Christmas themed, framed, professional done photograph of all 5 grandkids (my pride and joys), and a 2008 season pass ...

Re: Christmas/ Hannukah/ holidays
My daughter, son-in-law and their 3 kids are all down from NC to spend Christmas with me. We just got home from driving thru a nearby area where for the past 5 years all of the homes are decorated with festive lights, animated characters, music, and those inflatable snowglobes. Every year this neig...
