It is a shame. The forum was more heavily used, when we were permitted to republish the news from the Tyrone Daily Herald. We really had some interesting discussions, then.

well....maybe beach biker will come back, he seems to be wearing out his welcome on facebook. by the way, whatever happened to the newspaper "presence" on the internet?

In late 2008, the Herald, under new ownership decided to no longer allow us to republish their news: http://bit.ly/1e8P4Jv

I would love to see more activity on the forums, as well. Facebook pages have truly taken the crown for community pages due to their availability, however, they are often unmoderated, and don't allow topics to be threaded.

Every year I toy with the thought of turning the forums off, but I guess I just keep holding out. Facebook has definitely had an impact on its use. Happy (belated) New Year! :violin:
