Deer Jerky (Slight Return)

Post by DonkeyHoagie »

What things are best?
The jerky of the deer?
A pelican's cheer?
Salty, unlike an angel's tear.
Meaty, just like a sinewy steer.
I could live on deer jerky.
And beer.
These things are best.
Jerry, I know myself. And if I'm on the streets, and it starts to go down, I don't back off, until it's finished.

Salty tears, jerky or no...
beefy, deer or chewy,
none of these now I know.
Instead I try to bite in vain,
my teeth rotting out, once again.
Gladly would I feast in peace,
However,
all these wars now should cease.

An evenings repast in Tyrone PA.

Post by zapatista »

Fried pork rinds plain and barbequed.
Donuts with sugary goodness imbued.
Onion hoagies served up rude.

...perennial Tyrone favorites all

Wash these down with malted brew.
Chased by cigarette and/or chew.
These are virtues all Tyroids accrue.

...finish up with a good bar brawl.
