I step closer
To the acrid smelling
white burn.
Just to capture the sweet comforting aroma of second hand smoke.
It doesn't make me choke. Only yearn.
The floating haze
Surrounds my head.
Floating white fingers of smoke
Caressing my face.
The wispy white fingers enter the nasal passage.
I welcome it like a heroin addicts' needle sting to the arm.
I have lost the fifty-six day battle....
