- she is the goldfish that swims in my split pea soup ...
- the softer, more expensive baby-wipes ...
- the two-dollar ticket to the zoo railroad (when the animals, my father say's are free) ...
- she is the scent of sheets that were hung outside when the dryer wasn't even broken ...
- the Saturday morning pancakes ...
- the dish washing naval battles ...
- the songs that my children will hear ...
- the rocking chair, "that no child should be without" ...

- she is MOTHER.
