My family will be visiting in the area soon. What are some places to take a 17 and 9 year old to see other than the park - been there done that?

Horseshoe Curve
Railroad Museum in Altoona
Blair County Ball Park
Lakemont Park in Altoona
Galactic Indoor Ice Rink
Ft. Roberdeau
Ole Fort Bedford
Penn State (Creamery, the Lion Shrine, and the PSU Sports Hall of Fame at Beaver Stadium)
Boalsburg Military Museum
Raystown Lake
Lincoln Caverns outside of Huntingdon
Indian Caverns outside of Spruce Creek
East Broad Top Railroad in Orbisonia (a bit of a drive though)

I'd like to add Baker's Mansion to the list. They do have odd hours so definitely call them beforehand.

A really great day trip would be to the 1000 steps between Huntingon and Mt. Union on Route 22. It is on the left side just after you go over the Mapleton Mountain and parking is right along the road right after the fences that catch the falling rock. It is a great trip...take your time going up and bring something to drink. On a clear day, the views are really nice way up on the top.

swabs mansion in Loretto wow is the best way to decribe the gardens and statues theyare really something to see knowing it was once someones home and yard 'even has a shrine its owned by carmilite nuns now so you cant go any further then the gardens and see the huge falls that flow done the staircase from the house to the gardens. it use to belong to the steele king of the worls his train car is in altoons railroad museum .
thaws mansion is cool too dont know if you can tore it anymore either hard to belive such palaces sit in such small towns wouldnt beleive it if i hadnt seen it
