Rick,

Any chance you can make the pictures so we can save them on to our computers?

I have a whole bunch of picture from PA that I use as a slide show for my screen saver...the one of PA avenue would be a nice addition to the collection.

Thanks

Actually Jay, if you click on the thumbnails above, you will get the larger version of the picture.

When it finishes loading, you can "Right-Click" on the image and save it to your computer. You can do that with practically any image on the internet.

That is what I did and it caused me to ask the question. I am able to save it okay but when I try to make it my desktop background it becomes rather distorted. It does not want to be any bigger than the thumbnail print you published.

Jay, all I did was click on the pic I wanted to use as my desktop, enlarged it, saved it in a My Document file. Next I clicked Control Panel and clicked Appearance and Themes. Then click Change Desktop Background, then click Browse, then click the file that you saved your pic in and click open. Next click, OK.... it should change it.

I have added text links above now as well. You can right click on them directly and save the file(s) to your PC.

Thank you for the photos, Rick.

It's ironic that on the same day and probably about the same time frame as when those pics were taken, I was on the beach for a few hours - about mid 60's but a bit overcast:

I have memories of snow like that back in Tyrone - but I'll stay with the year-'round white stuff I have now instead. :stick: :thumb:

PUP,

I don't know if this will help or not, but I googled the fire, and NewspaperArchive.com has three editions of the paper that carried the story with photos, that are available with membership. There was also an article that came up under archives, but I was having trouble bringing it up. The papers were Indiana,PA and Clearfield, I think. Hope this helps.
