2008 Dodge Challender

What do you all think about the Challenger coming out in February. I personally can't wait to see what these cars are going to looke like and feel like. As I sit now, unless the car is totally overpriced, I think I will get one. Either Orance of Lime Green. I tend to like them both. I hear these cars have a little container for people from Tyrone like me to put our Silver Spoon in we grow up with. I'll have to dig mine out though.

I like it much more than the Charger, but I myself, and aiming for this girl in 2008/2009....

I currently have an '04 GTO and love it, but I'm disappointed there are not a lot of other RWD platforms out there to choose from...

....waiting for the Ford guys to show up...... :drink:

Yeah, I hear you on the Camaro... i was considering waiting too, but then I heard they will be in the 30K range. It does look sexy though.

I like the design of the 2008 Challenger; I think Dodge did a great job of presenting a new version of the old Challengers of the "muscle car" era. I'd speculate a price in the range of the low to mid/upper $30s, depending on individual options - probably not much more than the Charger but probably won't have to be offered with drastic price reductions of about $6000 to spur sales like has happened with the Chargers (and Caravans, Durangos and Dodge trucks).

As far as color, I've seen many Chargers in the lime green - especially close up on the dealer lot while in for routine service work like oil change/tire rotation, as recently as last week. Looks sharp for sure.

But I'm REALLY partial to that Sunburst Orange, as we bought a Dodge Caliber SXT Sport when they first came out (on fact, we bought the only orange one in the very first shipment the dealer received). There's just nothing quite like that Sunburst Orange, and it just sets off any vehicle it's on (especially the Caliber, Nitro, Avenger, and Charger.)

Day or night, and under different other lighting conditions, it has a luster that can’t be described (yet it seems to change color tone a bit with various lighting like I've never seen). Sometimes more a brilliant reddish-orange - other times more a pure orange.

Below is a photo (that I sometimes use as an avatar on this board) sorta showing what I mean (of course, it just happens to be the official Harley-Davidson colors - and has Harley decals to accent the color, too). It's possible that this car may be making the trip from Myrtle Beach to Tyrone this coming weekend for an unexpected and unplanned visit (funeral services for a relative):

What, the 2008 Challengers are in for service? The car isn't even released yet. Who has them and how did they get them. If the price is in the mid-to-upper 30's it won't stay there more than a year. They'll have to offer a mid-20, say 24-26K version to make profit overall.

Someone wanted to hear from the Ford guys.

Here is a real Ford with a ugly driver.

If I could load the darn picture, I would show you.

Thanks for the help Terry.

Look again - I stated "Chargers", not "Challengers". Plus, I'm referring to when I'm there for service work on my own car.

Here's a helping hand. Not sure why it didn't work for you, it appeared as though you entered the same thing I did.

Rick,

You're funny. Did you ever get the pages from the football preview from the Herald?

You know, he really drives a red mini-van, saw this Mustang in a parking lot, pulled in, and snapped a picture. He wasn't even bright enough to park his mini-van on the other side!

Nothing says Harlow like a Red Mini-Van.

Gotta find out if Gina got a copy of it or not.

We've only been getting the bare basics uploaded recently, normally 1,2, and 5
