No doubt, both our area teams had great seasons this year. Congrats to the kids and the coaches!

Tonight is Bellwood's annual "start the season 0-1" night. My prediction.... Tyrone 49 - Bellwood 16... Bellwood always gets a few scores in the last 5 minutes on our second team.

OH please, stop the whimpering about AA beating A.... it's a stretch at best.

No whimpering until the post-season when Tyrone gets an early ticket home from the playoffs. Read the training camp journals; the team is geared to win the first game of the season against a smaller school. Then they play a couple of schools above its class during the season. And don't do as well in the post-season as fans wish they could.

So play the easy ones as scrimmages, play tougher teams when it counts, and win the whole thing. Or remain happy and defensive about the shiner you laid on your little brother.

Or not.

Muahhhhh.... sounds like sour grapes to me. As a Golden Eagle fan I have not been disappointed for one season under Coach Franco and his many, many District Championships, East Championships, and his State Title. I would suspect you feel the same away about the Blue Devils.... regardless if they lose to Tyrone most of the time.
