...It's amazing what one can become once you put you heart and soul into it :thumb: .
That was only part of it.

Years later, after 'Austin Powers' became a cult hit, I realized that I became a Tyrone cop mostly because I was the perfect "Mini-Me" for George Sessamen. :thumb: :bluebounce:

New lyrics:

---------------------------------------

Life is bringing you so down,

You don't think you can make it.

Every night is a show down,

Every day is just fake it.

Let me show you a new place,

If you follow directions.

You'll be wearing a new face,

Add it to your collection.

Song? Artist?

I know this one Banksy... I can even hear it, BUT, I just can't think of the song's name:?

CLUE 1: The group that recorded this - MANY years ago - wore uniforms. They still do, as they are still together and regularly perform in quite an entertaining manner.

Clue 2: In their peak, they were the feature act on one Monday thru Friday TV Series, had their own TV show back when they recorded this major national-hit song.

That would be incorrect - go back further in time.

OK then, another clue:

"The British are coming, the British are coming!"

Nope - but both groups have performed together in quire a few appearances, and had their own version of another song hit the charts within a few years of each other.

Regarding the song cited with with the lyrics in the post above, here is a hit about it's title: It's the difference between night and day.

Thanks for the last clue......

Raul Revere and the Raiders.....

the clues all fit now.... "The British are Coming" really pushed me in the wrong way... that's what make me say "Monkees." Good one!
