I miss the days of being grounded IN the house. These days, kids don't even go outside - they are content with their computer, TV with 500 channels, video games and cell phones. When we were kids and couldn't go outside to play, that was pure h*ll!

I have to add to that - I miss the days when we could go outside from morning until night, and our parents never knew where we were, and it was ok. We were safe from pedophiles, drug dealers, etc.

From the 70's and 80's?

If you're referring to things about Tyrone, that's EASY!

It's a tie between "doing the hardman" - and all the "close personal contact" we engaged in...

There's nothing I miss the most... other than just being a kid.

As a kid in the 70's walking down the streets and alleys of Tyrone with out fear. Fishing at Big Tree and the Boy Scout camp.

Sled riding down the neighbor's hill and not being chased off or fear of liablity on the owner's part for a start.
Normal is vastly overrated.

Well...

...Tyrone certainly DID have some great police officers back in the 70s and 80s to keep things safe! Image :fogey: :wall: :jester:

I miss cruising around town, meeting at Burger King or Marios and heading out to the party of the weekend! Or just hanging out in the BK or Marios parking lots and watching people drive by. The simple life, but it was good!!
