I'm curious, where does Jim Kilmartin work?

I think he's the "pastor"(?) of the Joshua House which is located in that old fire house, right? Is that a non-profit organization?

And I would imagine he supposedly spends time in his office at the municiple building. Unless the former mayor still residing in the mayor's office, which I guess would now be called the "consultant's office".

No, I know that he founded and operates Joshua House. What I wondered is, where does he work? Mayor of Tyrone certainly isn't a full-time job. I was just curious about what his vocation is. I'm sure he isn't earning a living off of the Joshua House, which would seem to be a non-profit. It doesn't seem like he would be drawing a salary off of that, not enough to live on, anyway.

Here's your answer, I guess, Blain.

It's off the Joshua House website, http://www.joshuahousetyrone.org

Director & Founder of Joshua House, Pastor of Antioch International Church of Tyrone, part of the pastoral and apostolic team of the regional Antioch International Church based in State College, PA, president of a new buisness formed with Nate Verilla called Kingdom Solutions, LLC. and my newest venture is being elected as Tyrone's Mayor starting in January 2006!

Has anyone actually seen the strings attached to his arms at the council meetings, or do they do a good job of hiding them?

No doubt, Banksy. You really gotta like that Herald article from December 12, 2006 - Budget tabled as Tyrone Council rejects earned income tax increase as posted on the News/Sports link.

Kilmartin sure appeared agitated by the way that article was written, as did the council VP.

Personally, I commend those borough council members taking a stance and wanting to further investigate things that could prevent taxes from being raised higher on the citizens of Tyrone, rather than just following the leader blindly. :thumb:

Now the question is how many of the Tyrone folks will actually attend the Public meeting.

You notice it is at 6 p.m. right when most of the people are eating?

Well, the budget was not finalized and will have to wait until January, 2007.

Keep up the fight, Bill Fink!! :thumb:

If anything could be taken from the last meeting at all Banksy, It would be there are no strings attached to this Mayor. That is all I will say about that. :?

You got to be kidding Harlow. I have been in many an argument with the past Mayor that I believe I can say with all certainty that there are no strings on me.

I have met and personally talked with the new Mayor. I really think when each of you are in town you should do the same. Other than the office that he holds, that is the only thing that ties him to the previous Mayor. I guess the question I am getting at is if folks commenting on here actually have taken the time to meet the new guy. Or is it the case that anyone who serves as Mayor of Tyrone must carry the mantle of being treated unfairly without cause? I haven't see too much negativity as of yet but it seems that it could go that way in a heartbeat. I just think we should be fair and allow him to make his own mark as Mayor.
