East End reopens from vacation on Tuesday January 6th. They have normal hours of 11 to 7 Tuesday through Saturday now if I read the sign correctly.

This is how I remember them:

But, then again, I'm getting awful old and not as keen as I once was... :fogey:

That looks like a mess.

1. It doesn't LOOK like an East End hoagie.

2. It doesn't LOOK like the inside of East End.

3. The server is SMILING (the answer, of course, that you are looking for :D ).

WTRN's website used to have a great photo of an East End hoagie on it. Ask and maybe they will post it again!

Just for the fun of it, I phoned East End yesterday and asked if they would deliver my order to Myrtle Beach, SC.

The woman who answered replied by firmly suggesting that I perform an explicit contortionist act that would be quite difficult to carry execute AND that would be extremely uncomfortable.

I am just SOOOO glad to see that East End’s staff hasn’t lost their highly-polished customer service skills and hallmark sunny dispositions over the last 25 years... :fogey: :wall: :slap:

That's correct, it was a "no".

But she said it with true East End charm...

I don't have one either - and I'm banned for life from Mac's, so I don't have a pic of one of their's either.

I DO, however, have a pic of a Manny's (Myrtle Beach) "Dagwood" from tonight:

I like Manny's - when I tick THEM off, they curse at me in Italian.

It's as close to being in Altoona as I can feel in my current situation... :wall:

All right, I'm gonna have to step up and make a fourth attempt (I'm 0 for 3). If I succeed this week, i will post a pic.

I've had a Mac's Hot, any recommendations for EEH?
