I was thinking of this song...because the artist needs our prayers right now...please keep him, and his family in prayer, they just lost their little girl to a tragic accident...I really like this song though... :h

Hey! Yes, the group is Evanesence! I love this video on YouTube, the name of the song is "Bring me to life" and I think it's about God bringing us back from numbness in our hearts, although you could interpret it differently...but my AP daughter loves this group too! Nice to see you on the Community forum! I always love your poems too!

That song and a couple of others of the groups songs crossed over to the top ten Christian charts. The Band however is of A gothic style The song was done with a group called Seether. Amy was dating the lead singer. Once the powers that be that ran the Christian music charts found out they pulled the songs from the list. Who's to say what or whom inspired the songs.
Another group to checkout is FlyLeaf They are a Christian type band that has crossed over from the Christian charts to the mainstream charts. The song is fully alive. They have a double album out for around six bucks. one is a cd of electric and acoustic versions of their songs and the other is a dvd of their songs .
Bottom line: If the Songs are good there good, let the people decide not the powers that be. If ten people listen to one song and get ten different meanings then it's a good song.

I think I have to say I completely agree with you! One of the things that annoys me the most is how everyone seems to want people to fit into a mold when a lot of times creativity, impulsiveness, and expression are the most important gifts! I hate judging a book by its cover only, and I think people, ( and bands) deserve the same consideration! I'll have to check out Flyleaf too, thanks for the tip. I love listening to most types of music, so it should be fun. Thanks again!
