Not one to go 'searching' for the answers, yet. Agree that it does sound kinda gross but then most of the 'kids' music does. Not to knock the 'kids' music, I love the kids music. And 'I hate my mother music', rather eclectic in my tastes. But, that one is not ringing any bells down here? :ahh: Are we permitted to call "Uncle" and be told the answer or do we have to be keep in suspense on this one? :hail: That first line is like niggling the back of my brain???

I think you'll find this song to be from a true artist, and not a marketing machine like we see today... the song is CANNONBALL by Daimen Rice.... have a listen...

Nice.

If you like Damien Rice you might also enjoy the John Butler Trio.

Here's one of their songs called Ocean.
...one of the best instrumentals I've ever heard.

Here's one with some vocals - Peach and Cream.
(long-winded intro, music starts around 1:45)

Glad you liked it. I enjoyed the Amos Lee song as well.

If you don't know about this website I highly recommend it.

(You can stream most of them - which gives you a chance to decide if they're worth downloading or not)

Damien Rice has 4 shows listed. John Butler has 172, Guster over 200, ...you get the picture.

If you're a Grateful Dead fan they have over 2000 bootleg concerts in a seperate section.

Just gonna jump in for a minute and make sure you all have seen Susan Boyle. You can see her on youtube from her Britains Got Talent audition, they have Simon too! Although she sings an opera piece from Les Mes, even if you don't care for opera, this will move you. You will need to pick a clip that is just over seven minutes long to hear her sing. It took me a few times before I could watch/hear her without crying as soon as she opened her mouth. It is absolutely beautiful. What is really great is watching the judges faces and the audience reaction as Susan 'looks' very unassuming. Just like Britains' Paul Potts who won in 2007, also singing opera, I am sure she will have CD's before long. Alright now, no digs for digging opera ya'll!! Hey,I went to the counter at the music store with Country, Heavy Metal ( I hate my mother music ), Opera, and what I call the kids' music, CD's and the person at the register asked if this music was all for me. Kinda flips em out when you say yes. Can you spell eclectic??!!
