I think I failed to mention that my cd/dvd rw drive had not been working for about 6 months, so therefore I could not save anything prior to setting the restore.

Everything I have learned has been basically self taught through trial and error and I have never used any repair service prior to a few weeks ago.
I was so frustrated and ready to throw the computer out my window... :twisted: I was willing to pay anything less that full price to buy a new system. Mine is over 3 years old.

By paying 125.00 they did reload Microsoft word, excel and power point. Also the AVG thingy and spybot thingy and who knows what else. All is fine, I guess.

If I did get "ripped" off, it won't happen twice. Next time I will know better.
Oh yeah, I guess it was my CPU thingy...the tower and not the modem. :thumb:
