Re: RIP - "Football Picks"
Can't you just imagine how the copy would read on this one?
Daily Herald Football Picks, age unknown, went to be with his (book)maker after an extended period of illness. "Picks", as he was affectionately known by his extended family and friends was a lifelong bachelor and was known by all as a lover of the line when it favored the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State Nittany Lions, Tyrone Golden Eagles, and L'il Sisters of the Poor Rompin' Stompin' Stump Kickers . Heck, he even bet on old school electric football games. Remember those little origami triangle footballs we'd play with in study hall? Yep, DHFP would lay down his lunch money even on that if the desk was level and the teacher wasn't looking. He was proceeded in death by both his loving father and mother (though Picks bet his mom would go first -- and lost!) and his adopted brother, Great "Hoagie" Juarez (malacious rumor has it that Picks bet on Mac's but ate at East End). A brief memorial service to honor "Picks" may be held at the next Eagles home game under the bleachers, but odds are in won't happen. In lieu of flowers, buy band candy.
