Wow .. Hey Randy.. Long time no see.... welcome to the forum.. They forgot one other barbershop in town.. Doug's barbershop across from the Pizza Hut.. You don't need an appointment to get a haircut there and last time i was in there it cost me about 8 bucks for the haircut. Which is quite reasonable. However, since there's not much hair left up there I just have my wife cut it now. :fogey:

Ya 8 bucks is great. The average for a area like Tyrone is about $10.00 bucks. I get $11.00 in one of my shops and $15.00 in the barber shop I just sold. I would like to keep the price as low as I can but we will see on that one. Also Rob it has been a long time no see. This form is a blast from the past for me.LOL..... :fogey:

All kidding aside - can anyone now living in Tyrone possibly post a list of all the current barber and cosmetology/hair shops in Tyrone, and perhaps a bit about each one? That may help a bit for the thread's initial and prevailing question, and in turn help Randy some more.
There are two WiFi places in town. Both within a block of each other. One being Joybeans coffee shop which has been closed due to the owner being very sick. The other that I know of is the Joshua House youth center. That is not really for people to just show up and use. I have stopped in the parking lot once and used it.

I think free wifi would go over well. There is a barber shop across from the Burger King that also charges $8 for a cut. My husband goes to it, and sometimes gets in without an appointment, but its usually better to make one if you don't want to wait a few minutes.
Well after spending some time back in the area I must say that nothing has changed (not that its a bad thing)...We looked for a location to open and could not find anything that we thought would work. Also for a town of 5 or 6000 people there are a lot of barbers for the size. So after giving it a lot of thought we have decided to stay where we are and maybe take a look at it again at a later time. I sure was hoping that we could move back to the area but it just is not in the cards at this time.
