Re: Name That Tune
I hear that one on Sirus 22. That's The Call, The Walls Came Down.

Right On!! They also had another great hit- "Let the day begin". Never hear it on Sirius, but DVE will occasionally play it.

Re: Name That Tune
Still road-trippin'. Staff car was replaced with an old bus. Ever been to OshKosh for the air show? Was thinking of putting together a road trip next year (July '09) for anyone interested.
Re: Name That Tune
I'm in for Oshkosh.
Under the following conditions, though -
We follow the map. No "road improvisation".
We must gas up at Agway using a gas key.
If possible we drive a borrowed Cutlass Cierra.
We blow the air horn until the armature gets red hot.

Re: Name That Tune
Just posted these lyrics elsewhere, and they're so encouraging, I thought I'd put them up here. I hope you guys don't mind, and that they'll encourage you also, whatever you're doing today. Anyone recognize the artist or song?
How long will my prayers seem unanswered?
Is there still faith in me to reach the end?
I'm feeling doubt I'm losing faith
But giving up would cost me everything
So I'll stand in the pain and silence
And I'll speak to the dark night
I believe in the sun even when it's not shining
I believe in love even when I don't feel it
And I believe in God even when He is silent
And I, I believe
Though I can't see my story's ending
That doesn't mean the dark night has no end
It's only here that I find faith
And learn to trust the One who writes my days
So I'll stand in the pain and silence
And I'll speak to the dark night
I believe in the sun even when it's not shining
I believe in love even when I don't feel it
And I believe in God even when He is silent
And I, I believe
No dark can consume Light
No death greater than this life
We are not forgotten
Hope is found when we say
Even when He is silent
I believe in the sun even when it's not shining
I believe in love even when I don't feel it
And I believe in God even when He is silent
And I, I believe

Re: Name That Tune
Here's one...
I know you didn't
bring me out here to drown
so why am I 10 feet under and upside down
barely surviving has become my purpose
cause I'm so used to living underneath the surface

Re: Name That Tune
Wow! Thanks, Something to say, I don't know if I heard this one or not...but, yeah. I googled. So, I'll leave it to someone else to give the name. But, sounds like a great song, and I think I'll try to download this one! Have a great day! :thumb:

Re: Name That Tune
Can anyone "name" this tune ??
The snow may fall,
But I don't mind at all...
Because you keep me winter warm.
It's cold and wet,
But I won't get upset...
With you I'm always winter warm.

But I don't mind at all...
Because you keep me winter warm.
It's cold and wet,
But I won't get upset...

My2Cents,
I saw the commercial for this one, and it's a car commercial and the song was Winter Warm, but I forget the artist at the moment. I watched two movies recently that had the song below in them, and I think it's so beautiful...does anyone know this one? :wall:
It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
And then that word grew louder and louder
Til it was a battle cry
I'll come back
When you call me
No need to say goodbye
Just because everything's changing
Doesn't mean it's never
Been this way before
All you can do is try to know
Who your friends are
As you head off to the war
Pick a star on the dark horizon
And follow the light
You'll come back
When it's over
No need to say good bye
You'll come back
When it's over
No need to say good bye..
Now we're back to the beginning
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can't feel it too
Doesn't mean that you have to forget
Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
Til they're before your eyes
You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye
You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye..

Re: Name That Tune
Thanks watcher... I think, that's it as far as words and music go for that Jeep commercial song... too bad, for it has a nice flow to it. I have a little parakeet that perks right up and chirps away when that song/comercial comes on, lol.watcher wrote:I saw the commercial for this one, and it's a car commercial and the song was Winter Warm, but I forget the artist at the moment. The lyrics you have written above, I've no idea... just guessing, may be way off base, but, it sounds like it is someone getting the news that they were going off to war, as others have before, hopefully they will return, as others have before, so spare all from going thru painful goodbyes.... look at a star, think of each other, you'll see them when you see them..... hopefully.

Re: Name That Tune
I know it's in the soundtrack for the curent Disney film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. The name is "The Call", done by Regina Spektor.
Re: Name That Tune
Absolutely! Very good BeachBiker! And thanks, My2Cents...nice take on that.

Re: Name That Tune
Heard it on the radio today...can't get it outta my head... :banghead:
"The problem is all inside your head", she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free
She said it's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself, at the risk of being crude
