I haven't heard anything about that nor did I hear it was for sale. I'll have to look into that. That surprises me, though, if it's true.

If Mike has 13 apples, and gives six to Jane, how many does he have left?: 13

I have not head that either, but you know, Tyrone is ready for it's First Victorian Christmas celeberation and the Tyrone football team faces “hottest” team in state, Grove City.

Joybeans is now owned by Brooks and Victoria Isenberg. Still great coffee, plus longer hours and expanded menu.

Yes, Harlow, the one and the same. I got out of dodge for Victorian Christmas...anytime there is music in the park, like last night, it's as if they are in my living room. The downtown looks good, though, with all the lights.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Okay figure I would give the scoop on Joybeans. I am sitting in here right now having a cup of coffee and reading the Altoona Mirror. There is an article on the front page of the Mirror today about Joybeans.

To summarize the article...While stationed in Alaska, Brooks and Victoria discussed what they were going to do once they were done with their tour of duty. Victoria wanted her own coffee shop and Brooks wanted it to be in his home town of Tyrone. The two met in a vehicle maintenance shop at Elmendorf and married in 2001. They looked for a site in Altoona and then came to Tyrone and realized there was already a coffee shop in town. They came into the shop in early October and asked the Andersons if the shop was for sale as they wanted to open a coffee shop. According to the paper, selling was in the back of the Anderson's mind and one thing led to the next The only reservation Victoria has had is that she has big shoes to fill following the way Carol ran the shop.

The Changes:

Carol is doing gift baskets
Expanded Hours Sunday 11-5, M-T 7AM-8PM, 7AM-10PM Sat, 9AM-9PM Sun
Friday Nights features live entertainment
Saturday Night features Karioke
Seating Capacity is now 26

Open House is scheduled January 15 1-4PM...$5.00 to sample all of the coffee and treats.
